SAFRA Toa Payoh Open House

SAFRA Toa Payoh opened its doors on Saturday, 27 October, marking its reopening with a two-day Open House to give NSmen and their families the opportunity to be one of the first to experience the brand new club.

It was a day of fun and learning for over 10,000 NSmen and their families at the new SAFRA Toa Payoh Open House , where they were treated to pool activities such as Zorball Challenge, stage performances, parenting talks and free art and crafts workshops for children.

It's a very big and nice building from the exterior and it's got a wide range of services and facilities for the whole family.

ParaNorman

Release Date: 30th August 2012

Genre: Action
Director: Chris Butler, Sam Fell
Cast: Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Christopher Charles Mintz-Plasse, Casey Affleck, Kodi Smit-McPhee. (Full Cast)

Synposis:
In the comedy thriller, a small town comes under siege by zombies and turns to misunderstood local boy Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who is able to speak with the undead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse.

Review:
It's been a while since I last went to the cinema for a cartoon movie and I definitely love this cartoon movie because it's got very good graphics and I had an enjoyable time watching this 3-D movie. I feel that this is more of a comedy than horror storyline. I love the animation as there were many facial expressions made and the background music went very well with the movie. I love the morale of the movie and was touched towards the end of the movie when Norman talked to witch to try to break the curse and save the people in the town.

I'd recommend this movie to everyone who wish to go for a light-heartening movie to RnR.

Thanks OMY.SG for the invite !

Disney's Pixar: BRAVE

Movie Synopsis

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson).

Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

Directed by Mark Andrews (“The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “John Carter of Mars”) and Brenda Chapman (“The Lion King,” “Prince of Egypt”), and produced by Katherine Sarafian (“Lifted,” “The Incredibles”), “Brave” is a grand adventure full of heart, memorable characters and the signature Pixar humor enjoyed by audiences of all ages. The film opens in Singapore theaters on 8 August 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

fairy tales are all about the guy being the hero? Rescuing the damsel in distress and also showing off his macho-ness. Fairy tales teach the boys to be strong and brave, but what if the tables are turned and it’s the girl’s chance to be brave instead? Girls do want to be brave and adventurous too! My heroine is none other than my Teacher in my Primary school, Mrs Tay. She's forever so patient with us despite us always being rebellious and playful in class. She's also very caring too as she's always giving us extra lessons after school to help us keep up with our work and giving us little pressie for all of us during Children's day. Till now she's still a "heroine" in many of our memories among our friends and she's very well loved by all the children she has taught before!

Reviews:
The mascara is easy to apply on my lashes and combs through the lashes easily. My lashes are much more visible after using the mascara and from the pictures, it's very obvious that my eyes looks much bigger. This mascara is good in helping me to enhance my eye feature and the lashes are more curled and volume. This mascara is able to last for at least 8 hours and it's easy to wash off the fancl cleansing oil.

This mascara will definitely be in my list of mascara brands purchases in future.
