I'm so thrilled to receive 3 masks from The Sample Store and Dress Me for reviews.

The 3 mask are:
1) Whitening & Brightening Mask

• Morus Nigra Fruit Extract lightens pigmentation while whitens the skin and helps to slow down aging process, keeping skin supple. It contains flavonoids ,aminos and minor elements Cu, Zn and Fe that have anti-oxidant properties.
• Azelaic Acid is a component of grains, such as wheat, rye and barley. It reduces the formation of pigmentation and is an anti-bacterial that inhibits the development of bacteria in pores. It reduces formation of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and also assists in skin lightening.
• Ginkgo Biloba Extract helps to increase blood circulation, boosts collagen formation and activating cell metabolism, which slows down the aging process. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic and anti-oxidant properties that protect the skin. The extract also helps in skin whitening.
• Glycyrrhizinate Glabra (Licorice) Leaf Extract is an anti-inflammatory agent that reduces skin redness and has anti-allergic properties that reduces skin sensitiveness while relaxes the skin.
• Sodium Hyaluronate effectively binds to water and retains moisture within skin 500 times more. This increases moisture level in skin and boosts skin’s natural collagen formation while providing a barrier of protection for the skin.
• Gigawhite is a plants-derived, preservative-free skin lightener that produces whitening effects and has skin-barrier functions. It reduces age spots and inhibits pigmentation.

2) Revitalizing & Firming Mask

• The green tea extract has anti-oxidant properties that remove toxins from skin while reducing redness or inflammation to clear up skin problems. The extract helps to promote the health and formation of collagen that maintains firm and supple skin. Polyphenols found in green tea has cell-protecting function that controls cell damage when exposed to radiation.
• Squalane helps in skin renewal and is easily penetrates into skin. It helps prevent formation of age spots, has antibacterial properties, helps skin to retain moisture thus reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
• Sodium Hyaluronate effectively binds to water and retains moisture within skin 500 times more. This increases moisture level in skin and boosts skin’s natural collagen formation while providing a barrier of protection for the skin.
• Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract is rich in anti-oxidants, 20 times more potent than Vitamin C and 50 times more potent than vitamin E. It helps minimize sun damage and helps firming of the skin.

3) Whitening & Revive Mask

Directions:
Apply Mask after your normal face wash routing. Lightly pat remaining essence on the face until fully absorb. Leave for 15 minutes, no rinsing required.



I tried Dress Me Whitening & Brightening Mask and Dress Me Revitalizing & Firming Mask and I really like how well the mask fits on my face nicely and the size of the sheet mask fits nicely on the face without being too big or small. Each sheet mask has a plastic sheet attached to the paper mask so that it's easy for my to open the mask before fitting it to my face and it isn't messy at all because the liquid content on the sheet mask was wet but it doesn't drip everywhere I remove it from the packaging and try to open it before putting it on my face.

I'd give 5/5 for the design and packaging of the mask.

My reviews on Dress Me Whitening & Brightening Mask:
After applying for 15 minutes, the mask was still wet which I felt that it was very good as they really put alot of essence on the sheet mask. I could apply the mask on my neck after 15minutes to act as a neck mask. After using the mask, I felt that it really whiten my skin by one tone and my face also felt more radiant. I also felt that it helped my moisturiser to be more easily absorbed and the radiance was still there when I woke up in the morning which was really amazing.

I'd give 4/5 for the efficacy of the mask.

My reviews on Dress Me Revitalizing & Firming Mask:
After applying for 15 minutes, the mask was still wet just like the Whitening and Brightening Mask I used on my first try which I believe it's the same for all Dress Mask. Hence I very much believe that all mask can be used for dual function as a face and neck mask. After using this mask, I could feel that my face looks sharper near the check area and my face seems more toned. The mask doesn't have any fragrance which is very soothing and relaxing for me.

I'd give 4/5 for the efficacy of the mask.

Prestige Warehouse Sales Hauls

Today I went to the Prestige Warehouse sales at Bukit Merah. I was pretty disappointed with the amount of sales items available as I was expecting more skincare/bodycare but I guess most of them were already sold out by the time I'm there as today is already the second day of the sales. There's alot of perfume on sales though. Wanted to get a few for myself but there're too many to choose from and after a while, I got so confused that I decided not to get any and there's too many people around so just got what I wanted and quickly left the place.

I got myself pretty good deals, Givenchy whitening serum for $30 and Givenchy spot corrector for $25. I also got myself a Gap body mist for $9.

I guess I've got to be there on the first days of the sales to get better deals.

Movie Review: Hello Stranger

Went to catch this movie "Hello Stranger". Was abit skeptical about the movie as it's a thai movie and I thought Thai movies were usually about Ghost or Fighting storyline.

This turned out to be a romantic comedy which I loved it very much. It also showed many places of interest in Korea which really interest me as I've never been there before. It was such a hilarious movie that I laughed throughout the movie except almost towards the end when I was very touched by the male n female lead which made me cried abit :P

But nonetheless, it was a very good movie and I would highly recommend to everyone who wish to have a good laugh and lighten their mood.

Shiseido Hauls

Went to the Shiseido Warehouse sales at their office, Orchard Building and got these for myself. Heard high raves about their whitening series and got the whole set for myself. I tried the SWL spot corrector serum and it lighten my pigmentation hence I decided to get the series from the sales. It was very good deals but too bad the night cream was already sold out by the time I went for the sales so I only managed to get their SWL cleansing foam, softener and day moisturiser. In total, I only spent $100 which was very cheap to be able to purchase a whole set of skincare products :)


Will drop by their counter to get the night cream and replenish the serum as their top selling products are usually not available on sale.

Estebel Spa Shower Gel

Ordered the magazine online and received my copy of L'Officiel Magazine from the courier. They were very thoughtful to courier the magazines as it included the Shower Gel(200ml) with purchase of the latest copy at $6.90. I love the packaging of it as it was packed in a satin bag which can be a christmas gift for friends :)

I couldn't wait to try it as soon as I got my hands on the shower gel as it's Lavendar scented. I loved it as it really moisturises my body after the wash and the scent doesn't overkill. The scent actually last for a while on the body which really made me feel very relaxed especially when I used it at night just before I go to bed :)

Will definitely purchase more for myself and friends as it's very worthwhile to pay $6.90 for the magazine and the Shower gel which is worth $40.

My reviews:
I feel that this mask is very wet when but it doesn't drip and make it very messy for me to put on. I'm amazed to know that the mask is soaked with essence(25g) so we can maximise the effect during masking. My face feels more radiant and very hydrated after putting it on for 15minutes. As I've got quite a big face, the mask fits my face nicely and covered all areas.
In order not to waste the essence on the mask as it was still wet after I removed, I apply it on my neck for another 15minutes so as not to waste the essence on the mask which was still very wet :)

I like the material of the mask and the amount of essence used as it stills feel very wet after 15minutes unlike some mask which I've tried and the mask starts to dry up after 10minutes.

Most importantly, we must apply a night cream after masking so that it'll lock up the essence and moisture else we'd have wasted the masking process. I tried the Aloe & Lavendar Mask and slept without putting on any night cream, thinking it was very hydrated. And the next morning, I felt my face was drier than normal.

I'll certainly stock up on this mask at John Little. I prefer this mask to the Aloe & Lavendar Mask as this has double effects for me, radiant + hydrating.

AQUALABEL: Workshop

As part of the "Unravel Your Blogging Power" contest, AQUALABEL organised a workshop for bloggers who entered the contest.

I attended the session as I wanted to know more about the whole range of products that they carry especially the whitening range :) I would also be able to try on my face and see the results for myself immediately.

Yanny, the trainer, gave a detailed explanation of each stages of the contest, followed by the introduction of AQUALABEL and each of the products they had.

As she went through each step for our daily skincare regime, we tried the product at the same time :) She told us that all AQUALABEL products comes with a rose fragrance.

1. Aqualabel Deep Clear Oil Cleansing

- this is my all-time favourite as it's cleanse well and it's very affordable.

- the rose fragrance was very nice and soothing :)

2. Aqualabel White Up Lotion (S)

- the next step should be the Aqualabel White Clear Foam. However there's no basin available, we skip this step but we used a hot towel to remove the cleansing oil from our face.

- this product is very cooling when we apply it on our face with a cotton pad.

- There was an alcohol smell which was still bearable.

- I couldn't really smell any rose fragrance on it though.

3. Aqualabel Bright White Ex

- this produc is highly raved in the tw entertainment programme, 女人我最大 due to this ingredient called M-tranexamic acid(傳明酸) which is one of the most effective ingredients to lighten pigmentation in the market now.

- the texture is just nice, not too thick and greasy and yet it's easily absorbed by the skin.

4. Aqualabel Reset White Mask

- we put this on for 10 minutes.

- I like the design of this mask as it fits very nicely on my face.

- the application of this mask is very hassle-free 'cos it's very wet but it doesn't drip when I remove the mask from the pack.

- they also designed the mask with a little elasticty so that it fit nicely.
- the face looks more radiant and hydrated. We're also taught how to massage the essence on our face after we remove the mask to that the essence on our face won't go to waste and it'll also aid in the absorption into our skin before we continue with thennext step.

5. Aqualabel White Up Emulsion

- I like the texture but it doesn't leave a greasy feeling after application.
- it has a little tinge of rose fragrance in it.

6. Aqualabel Aqua Enhancer WT

- This is the star product and it can be used with any product prior to this.

- I did not feel anything different after applying this as it feels like a toner to me.

- we're told to pat it in as this is to help the products applied prior to this to be more easily absorbed by the skin.

- I'd suggest getting a good brand of cotton pad to be used with this enhancer as the usual one we get from watsons aren't so good, they'll leave some cotton on my face after patting.

7. Aqualabel White Up Cream

- This is the last step we'd use to apply during the night as it'd help to further moisturise and lock it in.

- This product is thick but again, it's easily absorbed into the skin and it leaves a silky feel on the skin.

- In the day, this product will be replaced by the Aqualabel Perfect Protect Milk UV SPF50 PA+++(when you're doing outdoor activities) or Aqualabel White Protect Milk UV (for daily use)

I tried the Perfect Protect Milk UV SPF50 and I love it! the texture is so light yet it was able to have SPF50 in it. Will definitely get this after I've finished my fancl sunblock.

AQUALABEL: Unravel your Blogging Power

Was informed by Aqualabel that I was able to participate in the contest "Unravel the Blogging Power" organised by Aqualabel.

I went down to NAC Watsons with my favourite AQUALABEL product to have a potrait shot and to meet YES 933 DJ Siau Jiahui. It was pretty interesting as this is the first time I've seen her in person although I find her voice very familar :) She did a brief introduction of the AQUALABEL products and interviewed some bloggers as well as the public.

After which I went to take a potrait shot with my favourite product, AQUALABEL DEEP CLEAR OIL CLEANSING.

This is a high performance cleansing oil that eliminates makeup, old keratin cells and sebum plugs in the pores, revealing translucent glowing skin without depriving my skin of moisture.

I love the rose mist fragrance and the texture of the cleansing oil is very light yet it cleanse my face of the makeup very well.

I got my virgin bottle from Taiwan last year and fell in love with it due to the fragrance. It always made me happier whenever I use it :) Each time i use about 50cents coin size for my whole face.


Direction of use:

• apply the cleansing oil on a dry face.
• Massage for 1-2 mintures.
• Rinse off and follow up with my cleanser.

How long does each bottle last?

• this bottle was able to last me about 6 months as I put on very minimal makeup for work.

I bought another bottle from Watsons NAC as my current bottle is finishing.

Price: S$18.50 for 150ml.

Final verdict: This is definitely more affordable to the previous FANCL cleansing oil that I've been supporting for years as the savings is almost 50% and I don't hv to worry about the products expiring so soon.

Will definitely try out the Aqua enhancer. Heard alot of raves by the bloggers during the event but unfortunately the whitening one is out of stock. Will need to hunt for them at other Watsons outlet while they're having the promotion of getting 20 points for watsons card member with each AQUALABEL product purchase.

I've tried out the effect of this product on my hands as I was very eager to
know the results as this is my first time trying out a BB cream although I've
heard many raves about the BB cream from various brands.

Verdict: The texture is very easy to apply and spread on my hands without
leaving any sticky feeling and is quickly absorb onto my hands.
I like the tone of the cream as it help to fade some pigmentation on my hand
and made my hand look more radiant. I'm quite confident that it'll definitely
help my pigmentation problem on my face ;)
The cream has a nice floral scent which is not overpowering.

Conclusion:I must say this product is certainly very good and I'll recommend
to someone who require simple makeup and this has quite a good coverage.
I'll definitely go purchase once I've finished with the current one :)

FR3B Focus Group

Last Friday, I was shortlisted by FR3B for attending a focus group. It was a joint event together with a market research company. There were a total of 7 attendees.

The focus group was held at the Royal Plaza, Carousel Restaurant. It was a very cozy and fun session as we had the high tea buffet while chatting in an enclosed room :) As I had a light lunch earlier, so I tried the sashimi and desserts/fruits. The food on the whole was quite good.

It was a very casual chit chat session where we all shared our skincare regime and which is our all-time favourite skincare products. We're given a lotion which contains hyaluronic acid to try and gave our views on it.

At the end of the session, we're given a goodie bag and one of the item was the toner that we tried during the focus group. Below is the pic of what was inside the goodie bag :)
